The Bedford Public Library is hosting an info session for Grade 12s and their parents regarding University/Community scholarships and bursaries. The session leader is Education consultant Janet MacDonald and takes place at the BPL on Wednesday, Nov 6 from 7-8:30pm. Future grads and their parents are encouraged to attend.

GIRLS CONFERENCE – All girls interested in attending this conference please come to a meeting in Ms. Joudrey’s classroom in 207 on Thursday November 7 at lunch. The Alexa McDonough Institute for Women, Gender, and Social Justice is pleased to announce that the 9th annual Girls Conference will be held on Friday March 6, 2020, at Mount Saint Vincent University from 8:30am-4:00pm.
Girls Conference Mission: To help this generation of Nova Scotian girls (ages 11 years and up) develop, appreciate and celebrate their own abilities and talents and those of other girls and women, to help them to empower themselves, build confidence, and be a positive influence in their communities.
Workshop Sessions We will have over 40 workshop presenters offering a wide array of important topics and expertise. Topics include self-esteem, body image, athletics/sports, mental health, career exploration, inspiring girls who share their stories and talents and many more. The sitting fee is $20 if you wish to purchase a portrait package.  If you do not wish to do so, there is no sitting fee charge.  ALL GRADS MUST HAVE THEIR PORTRAIT TAKEN AT THE SCHOOL IN ORDER TO BE IN THE YEARBOOK!!!  DON’T MISS OUT!!!

The Peter Kohler Scholarship is now open for applications. For any grade 12 students who are interested in pursuing a career in Engineering, but may not be able to afford a university education, applications are being accepted until January 15th, 2020. The Peter Kohler Scholarship is intended for students who demonstrate financial need, and is meant to provide an opportunity for young and bright students who might not be able to enroll in university if it were not for this scholarship.
