CPA is happy to be hosting DAL today in the Quiet Room during lunch- any interested grade 12s should attend

LORAN SCHOLARSHIP
What is it?
The selection of a Loran Scholar is unique in its attention to a young person’s character. The Loran Foundation believes that integrity, courage, grit and personal autonomy are better indicators of overall potential than standard academic measures.
Criteria
• Be in your final year of uninterrupted full-time studies in high school.
• Present a minimum cumulative average of 85%.
• Hold Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status.
• Be at least 16 years of age by September 1st of the following year.
How to apply
Sponsored Applicants – If you want to be considered you must pick up an application form from Ms. Lowe in guidance ASAP.  Then you must submit applications to Ms. Lowe in guidance by the end of the day today.

Grad Photos – The graduation portrait dates are: Nov. 18th to Nov. 22nd. Here is the link for booking your portrait sitting:  http://calnenphotography.com/booking_calendar/charles_p_allen_high_school
The sitting fee is $20 if you wish to purchase a portrait package.  If you do not wish to do so, there is no sitting fee charge.  ALL GRADS MUST HAVE THEIR PORTRAIT TAKEN AT THE SCHOOL IN ORDER TO BE IN THE YEARBOOK!!!  DON’T MISS OUT!!!
